What is heat lamination?
Did you know that our Silao warehouse performs heat lamination to bond a variety of foam blocks?
By passing the foam blocks through a hot blade, the heat melts the foam's surface, turning it into a sticky substance that acts as an adhesive and creates a permanent bond. By laminating with heat alone, we can combine different materials, densities, and colors to create sheets composed of 2 layers (only for 2-stage blocks, with a minimum thickness of 0.25" and a maximum lamination thickness of 12"). This way, you can receive materials ready for processing for applications such as case inserts and tool control.
In addition to our Silao facilities, you can also request laminated materials at our Indiana and California locations. Pressure-sensitive adhesive application is available at all our North American locations.
